The Art-Hist platform permanently receives for publication unpublished papers on artistic creation from Antiquity to Modern Times, with very wide geographical contours: East, West, Mediterranean, Scandinavia, Slavic world. Papers could consider actors (craftsmen, artists, theorists, critical), productions (monument in all its forms, from artifacts to buildings and performances), the function or absence of social, political, religious function of works of art, the conditions of its production, life, survival and exhibition, the philosophical concepts at stake in the making of art.
The platform retains a very broad definition of artistic creation and considers both the monumental as moveable arts, permanent creations as the short-lived compositions. Contributions are expected on sculpture, architecture, painting, drawing and graphic arts, dance, theatre, music, literature. Studies can be monographic, thematic or conceptual, dedicated to a work of art, artist, concept, culture, place, etc.
