The École française de Rome and the Centre of Comparative Studies « I Deug-Su » of the University of Siena, in collaboration with the Laboratoire de Médiévistique Occidentale de Paris (UMR 8589 CNRS-Université Paris 1), organize in Rome from 2 to 6 June 2014 a workshop of Textometry of the historical sources for graduate students, that will be focused on the application of some computing tools for textual analysis in historical and philological research.
The workshop will present software such as PALM, Hyperbase, TXM, Stylometry, Lexicon and test them on case studies concerning medieval texts.
The best papers of the Ph.D. Students will be proposed for the publication by the Advisory Board to the Reading Committee of the journal Mélanges de l’École Française de Rome. Moyen Âge (http://mefrm.revues.org/).
