Applications are invited for a permanent appointment as Lecturer (above the bar) in Early Medieval History c400AD – 1000 AD, UCD School of History and Archives. In particular, the School would welcome applications from individuals whose interests span Ireland, Britain & Europe.
University College Dublin has a distinguished history in the field of Medieval Studies. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the field; and is expected to research and publish and contribute to the promotion of early medieval studies at UCD through a variety of means including competitive research funding.
Note: Applicants will have a PhD relevant to the field of early medieval history c.400-c.1000AD, as well as experience of lecturing both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
2013 (2010) Lecturer (ATB) Salary Scale: €50,807 – €76,936 p.a.
2013 (2011) Lecturer (ATB) Salary Scale: €45,726 – €69,275 p.a.*
* Subject to all new entrants to public sector as of 01 January 2011
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
