We have an exciting opportunity to appoint two Lecturer posts with proven, exceptional research and teaching abilities: a Lecturer in History and Digital Humanities, and a Lecturer in Archaeology and Digital Humanities. We will consider applications from candidates who specialise in any field of History or Archaeology, including Cultural Heritage Studies. For both posts, applicants will also need to be able to evidence an applied knowledge and understanding of relevant digital methods within their field (e.g. digitisation, data mining, semantic annotation, mapping and spatial analysis, 3D imaging, extended and virtual reality etc).
You will play a full role in developing the research profiles of History, Archaeology and the Digital Humanities. You will deliver teaching on existing programmes within the Digital Humanities Institute, History and Archaeology, and develop new taught modules that apply Digital Humanities methods. You will play an active role in university life, providing pastoral support to tutees, supervising dissertations, marking student work, and undertaking a variety of leadership and administration roles at departmental or faculty level.
