International Hug a Medievalist Day, celebrated on March 31^st. These connoisseurs in medieval history and culture can specialize in various disciplines, including architecture, literature, music, art, philosophy, and popular culture. There isn’t a better occasion to get introduced to the beliefs and practices of the Middle Ages of Europe! These past years, Medieval Studies have become more and more popular, perhaps due to series such as Game of Thrones. The day was created in 2011 by Sarah Laseke, who believes medievalists deserve some love too!
