Little is known about Honorius Augustodunensis (1st half of the 12th century). However, the writings of this prolific author were astonishingly widespread, as is impressively demonstrated by the hundreds of manuscripts of his works that survived . Honorius was an early medieval bestselling author with a remarkable history of influence, whose significance is still largely unexplored and whose originality needs to be rediscovered.
