Deux postdoctorats sont ouverts à l’Université de Parme (Italie) dans le cadre du projet ERC “FICTA” lancé par Irene Binini.

Ils concernent la logique, la philosophie naturelle et les mathématiques médiévales, mais sont aussi ouverts à des candidats spécialisés en études post-médiévales, travaillant sur le début de la Modernité.

Les candidatures de personnes travaillant sur l’histoire des expériences de pensée, les théories de l’imagination, le raisonnement contrefactuel, les théories des objets fictionnels et des objets impossibles seront particulièrement appréciées.

Quelques précisions transmises par Irene Binini (en anglais) :

• The position is advertised as a 2-years postdoc contract (“Contratto di ricerca”), but is in fact a renewable contract of 2+2+1 years, so the position is available up to 5 years.
• In the call it is indicated that a basic command of Italian is necessary – please discard this point, it is obligatory to write this in any Italian contract, but knowledge of Italian is not necessary for the application.
• All positions may start from March 1^st, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. 
• The positions are open to PhD candidates who will defend their thesis within 6 months from today.
• Postdocs will work in a team of 4 (later on, 6) young researchers, we hope we will be able to build a friendly and welcoming environment. 
• While we hope to maintain a strong in-presence team work, we are also open to construing a hybrid working environment, including partial homeworking where appropriate and a range of family friendly policies.
