Susan Signe Morrison writes on topics lurking in the margins of history, ranging from recently uncovered diaries of a teenage girl in World War II to medieval women pilgrims, excrement in the Middle Ages, and waste. Susan’s BA is from Swarthmore College and her A.M./Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Brown University. Susan Morrison is Professor of English at Texas State University.

Dr. Richard Utz on Personal and Public Interest in the Middle Ages

Richard Utz is Chair and Professor in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Before joining GT, he served as Chair and Professor in the English Department at Western Michigan University, and he also gathered experience as an educator at the Pädagogische Hochschule Dresden, the University of Northern Iowa, and the University of Tübingen. Utz received his doctorate from the University of Regensburg, Germany, in 1990.
Charles Lein is a former graduate student at the Medieval Institute at Western Michigan University and is currently working at Achievement First Amistad High School in New Haven, CT.
