The School of Archaeology seeks an exceptional candidate for the role of Departmental Lecturer in Early Medieval Archaeology to replace a permanent post holder on temporary secondment. The primary focus of the role will be on teaching, supervision and examining undergraduate and Master’s level students in Archaeology and History. The successful candidate will have a publication record, commensurate with career stage, in the field of Early Medieval archaeology.
The post is full-time for a fixed-term of 12 months, from September 2017, or as soon as possible thereafter.
You must have a doctorate in the field of Early Medieval archaeology, ideally with an emphasis on Britain and/or Northwest Europe. The ability to work effectively with colleagues as part of an interdisciplinary team, and strong communication skills are also essential.
