Tenure-track position as Assistant Professor, beginning August 2018, to teach graduate and undergraduate literature and culture/civilization courses. Teaching load of 2 courses per semester. Primary specialization in Medieval French/Medieval Francophone literature and culture is required.
PhD in French/Francophone Studies required by August 15, 2018. Candidates should have native or near-native command of French and English; an outstanding record in both research and teaching; and a commitment to undergraduate as well as graduate instruction, curricular development and the principles of a liberal arts education at all levels.

We are particularly interested in scholars engaged in innovative cross-cultural and/or interdisciplinary research involving additional fields such as early music, digital humanities, Mediterranean studies, visual studies, material studies, critical theory, etc., and who are enthusiastic about bringing such innovations into the classroom at the undergraduate and graduate levels in both French and English.
