Fixed term Contract for 36 months
We are seeking two Research Associates to work on the project ‘Bees in the medieval world: Economic, environmental and cultural perspectives’ funded by the Leverhulme Trust. Applications are invited from historians interested in working with primary sources and quantitative material. It is expected that you will contribute to both the empirical and conceptual work within the project, working alongside Dr Alexandra Sapoznik and another Research Associate. The successful candidates are expected to assume some administrative responsibility for the project.
You will have a completed or nearly completed PhD in a relevant field. In addition you will have good research skills in historical methods and the ability to work with archival sources.
There are two posts available with varying requirements. One post requires the ability to work with archival sources from the Crown of Aragon. The ability to work with archival sources from neighbouring regions would be an advantage. The other post requires the ability to work with German archival sources.
